ABC Alphabet Phonics - Preschool Game for Kids App Reviews

Great interactive flashcard type game..

My son was playing the game when an inappropriate word combo came up, twice. My older son was helping my younger son and said the word and my younger son repeated it. You would think a game designed for such young children would be able to avoid such combos, its extremely disappointing to have to speak with your children about this while they are playing a game designed for such young children. I was not able to get a screen shot the 1st time but I did get it the 2nd time. If you are interested I can forward you the screen shot.

This is a wonderful app with so many options to make the letters more fun and appealing to kids. I also love that the multiple options allow you to go from teaching the plain letters to being able generalize them with embellishments. I also love the option which will just do the sounds if youre trying to focus on phonics. Another awesome feature is the min and max options for the number of choices presented. You can start with 1 letter for error free learning and then move to a larger field of choices to make the tasks more complicated. As a special educator this is the perfect app for teaching and assessing letter identification!

This app is so perfectly simple. Other apps focus so much on video rewards and sounds that kids are too distracted to actually learn anything. This is super basic, but with a ton of ways to change it up (sounds, uppercase, lowercase, etc). My almost 2 year old begs to play his "letters." I dont feel bad letting him play because hes learning without a doubt! Im on the hunt for something similar with colors, shapes, and numbers!

Cant tell you how frustrating is to try playing with kids when sound is not working making the App useless. Changing settings to sound On does not stick

Like the simplicity of this app: clean lines and few visual distractions. As another reviewer points out you need to know the alphabet to play so its not a learning tool.

I just downloaded this app today to entertain my son while standing in line at the store. He loved it but had a hard time with the font. The l (lowercase L) and I (uppercase i) are the same in the font you are using. When the two letters are shown on the same screen there is no way for him to distinguish which is the correct letter. Please fix this so the kids can learn what a proper i should look like. Other than that he loves it!

Ive already given this app a review but when I wanted to do numbers, it only goes from zero to nine. PLEASE, MAKE IT GO AT LEAST TO THIRTY. Thank you.

I love the use of this app but I am disappointed in the recording option that does not work.

This has really helped with letter recognition!!

So basic and so brilliant! Ive been looking for an app like this for quite a while for my letter-obsessed 23 month old. Within 2 minutes she had the hang of what she was supposed to do, and I could see her confidence building. All of the different settings are perfection and will no doubt keep her engaged for quite a while. Well done!!

I love it, it keeps the kids engaged, but its all upper case, no lower case. :(

Sound doesnt work on my ipad.

My four youngest children love this app! They range in ages 2 to almost 5--and they love playing this!

This is great and my cousin loves it but it isnt optimized for the iPhone 5s and it kind of ruins it.

My 18 month old loves this app. She already knows all of her letters because of it!
